individual therapy

Sometimes the hardest relationship we have, is the one we have with ourselves.

To tailor treatment to your needs, I will draw primarily from the following approaches in which I am trained and skilled:

Family Systems Therapy
(who we are in the context of our relationships)

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

(our relationship with different parts of ourselves)

Relational Life Therapy (RLT)
(recognition of patterns and protective strategies
that keep us stuck)

CBT
(identify and change unhelpful thought patterns
and behaviors
)

I also provide trauma-informed and neurodiversity-affirming care.

In other words... my approach to individual therapy is deep but gentle work for a wide range of concerns, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, shame, low self-esteem, indecision, and identity and relationship challenges. I'm especially passionate about helping adults who might be experiencing the proverbial midlife crisis or transition, adult children of dysfunctional families, those recovering from the end of a relationship or adjusting to a late-diagnosis of ADHD or ASD Level 1.

Together, we’ll identify your protective patterns, the wounds that shaped them, and the strengths you’ve always had.

If it's the right fit for you, I will help you learn to practice IFS. With regular IFS practice, our presence of Self expands (our calm, compassionate, wise core) along with our capacity to respond to life with greater clarity, confidence, and courage.
